It all began in November 2019, when Cory and Ashleigh started talking after being introduced by Ashleigh's friends at school. After weeks of getting to know each other, they met in person for the first time in January 2020. By February 29, 2020 — Leap Day — they made things official and became a couple.

What followed was a long-distance romance filled with love, dedication, and countless miles.

Ashleigh was completing her degree at the University of South Florida in Tampa, while Cory was working hard as a firefighter in Augusta, Georgia. Despite the 7.5-hour drive, Cory made it a priority to visit Ashleigh at least once a month, proving that love truly knows no distance.

In May 2021, Ashleigh graduated and moved to Augusta to finally close the gap. Their relationship continued to grow as they built a life together in Georgia.

Fast forward to October 12, 2024: Cory proposed to Ashleigh, turning their long-distance love story into a lifelong commitment. Despite a slight delay caused by Hurricane Helene, the proposal was everything they dreamed of, marking the start of their forever.

Now, they can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter surrounded by the family and friends who have supported them along the way!
